Autobiography

Hello, and welcome to my blog that will.. hopefully... document much of my PIDP educational journey.

I'm an Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Electronics & Electrical have been my passions since I earned my first Journeyman certification as an Electronics Technician in 1982. After many years enjoying that trade, I moved over to commercial plant maintenance and was quite involved in the electrical systems of the buildings and processes. Logically my Journeyman Electrician Certification followed.

A wonderful discovery I made several years ago, was that of a small credit card sized computer called a Raspberry Pi. So I'll be weaving my journey with my raspberry pi together with my PIDP path!

One of the most enjoyable activities within my career has been the mentoring of junior employees and apprentices. So sharing what I know with the electrical apprentices here at SAIT is really my dream job.... And to think they pay me for it as well (GRIN!)
